Smoking is a matter of free will. Contrary to popular belief that people get hooked because of peer pressure, the need to look cool and sophisticated or even the claims that the were influenced by their parents who smoked as they were growing up, people who smoked chose to pick up the habit. And so this raises a question: since smoking is a product of one’s choosing, is it also possible that people can kick out of the habit as a matter of choice? People smoke to for a number of reasons such as to relax, to look sophisticated o or even just for the hang of it. Smoking affects all the organs in our bodies and that of others as well. It does not matter if you smoke five sticks or one pack a day, smoking over a long period of time can cause serious illnesses which can leave you with a poorer quality of health at best, or result into something fatal at worst. In fact, smoking is one of the world leading causes of premature death as well as preventable death in the world. Around 2.5 million people die annually due to smoking and according to studies, by the year 2020 the number of smoking related deaths would reach 10 million.
